Full high definition (1080p) fiber optic scope is used to examine the upper digestive tract including the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum (first part of small bowel). Usually coeliac disease, sugar intolerances, stomach infections and signs of acid reflux is detected this way. This procedure is also useful to remove lesions and therefore prevent cancer.
